Greenlake's Luminaries

Eric, me, and the girls met Auntie Melissa at Greenlake to celebrate St. Lucia day, the Saint of lights. All 3.5 miles of Greenlake was lite with luminaries. Their were caroler's, people with crazy hats, a couple had their four dogs lite up...which was so awesome looking the picture does not do it justice( that is before and after), and the first night that it began to SNOW. I love the fact that Ava grabs her umbrella. We kept the girls up late to do this which they loved but they loved the late night milkshake at Dick's!

Our Ginger Bread

After seeing the beautiful ginger bread pictures on Lanette's blog....I do have to say our little Trader Joe's ginger bread house comes in a close second...hahaha! We did have fun making it though :-)

Because I believe in Santa

I believe I was 25 and finally put my foot down I told my mom that my sister and I would not be getting our pictures taken with Santa this year or ever again. Likely to say my mom was so sad. We religiously went to the same Santa who would say well Hello Lisa and Casie; and we would reply in unison "Hi Santa".
Now as a mom I can't wait for this time of the year!! I have taken on this tradition since Ava was 4 weeks of age. It's nice at this time of the year to put up all your Christmas pictures and see how your babies have grown.

Happy Thanksgiving

With all the craziness the last few months have brought our way; we were very blessed with such a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are thankful for Eric's dad and to have the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving with him. We are thankful for Mary and Peter for opening their home to have such a lovely celebration. And we are thankful for my parents and how wonderful they are. We wish everyone a blessed day and hope you didn't gobble gobble too much!!

P.S. The cornucopia was a project Ava, Lauren, and I wanted to take on. We head to Michael's and bought all the decorations. Truthfully we could have bought one for far less then all the separate decorations I purchased to decorate this damn cornucopia. Once we get home, the girls were all into the project for all of 20 minutes......seriously. I was left on the kitchen floor for the next two hours gluing and getting a little upset. But in the end, I can say I have a handmade cornucopia by me, and the girls.

November 23rd-Happy Anniversary

Eric and I celebrated 6 years of marriage and almost twelve years of being together. After a long night of parting for his birthday we got home only to have our beautiful children wake us up at 5:45am....oh my. Thankfully they went back to sleep until 6:45. After breakfast at the Maltby Cafe Eric and I went to the Hawks game! The bums lost but it was such a beautiful day that you couldn't complain. We had a fantastic day. Here's to celebrating many more years E. I love you!!

Peace for all

Future generation peace maker. Ava watched Obama win the Presidency with us and was so enthralled with the whole situation. She new that we were stoked he won...but my kind hearted child said mama I feel bad for McCain losing...why are there losers. Oh, the questions that children ask!

Birthday Celebration!!

Some of the Gang
Here are some pictures from the girls birthday party at Jump Planet. This is the place where dad's have just as much fun; if not more than the children. By the time we were finished all of the dad's looked like they had just ran a marathon.

Ava with the first slide of the day & Lauren by the end of the day. She is is new born baby Willa's car seat.

Cousin Sven-the Golfer!

Princess by Day...Frankenstein by Night!!

Ava's school had a Halloween parade and she got dressed up in her Snow White costume, she was so cute. Then we were just about to go trick or treating and she came downstairs in her Frankenstein costume. I guess she had a change of heart. At least she said warm :-)
Little Lauren was a Pumpkin Princess!!

How Time Fly's...

I can't believe how fast my life seems to be moving. We just celebrated little Lauren Elizabeth's 2nd birthday!! She is an amazing child with so much personality, intelligence, and love. I am so blessed to have two beautiful daughters to watch and grow everyday.
Everyone asks how does it feel to have your baby turning 2? I am fine with Lauren being two but what gets me is when I think that my baby girl Ava Marie will be turning 5 years old on Saturday!! I can't believe we have a 5 year old already. Ava is such a beautiful child with so much life. She is so inquisitive and loves nature. It seems like yesterday we were bringing Ava home from the hospital and Eric was driving like 40 miles per hour on the freeway. I think there were a few people on the rode that night who were not to pleased with us. But hey, we have precious cargo in the car. I can truly say I love being a mom and wife. Eric and I have loved every moment of watching our girls grow. Children bring such love and joy to families and they make sure there is never a boring moment.

Olympia Bound

Well it has been forever since I've blogged but this time of the year is always crazy for our family. Where to start???
I am so proud of my husband; he is the greatest guy. Eric was offered a job promotion with Washington State department of transportation, (who he currently works for) but now we are going to be relocating. The job offer we accepted is at head-quarters in Olympia on the capital campus. So we are moving to Olympia. From what I hear it is a lot like Bellingham, very peaceful and beautiful. I'm so use to the rat-race of the everyday life that it might be a nice change of pace "for a few year".

Cape Disappointment..not disappointing

Our annual camp trip with nana was a blast. We were at Cape disappointment which is located just shy of Astoria. Beautiful beaches, awesome lighthouses, and great hiking trails. The only hiccup was we found out Laren does not like to sleep in a tent but loves the sand!!
